Hi reader,
What do you do with your anger?
You could be angry at the oppressive systems at play. You could be angry at a loved one. You could be angry at yourself.
But the base feeling is the same.
As of late, Iβve loved analogies comparing feelings to temperatures. Contentment is light to touch, as cool as the other side of the pillow (R.I.P. Stuart Scott). Love is as warm as an afternoon picnic on a clear day. And anger? It is smoldering, as piping hot as the last gasp of an imploding star.
At the end of the day, though, all anger is, is energy π₯

When Iβm feeling hot and fresh out of the oven, I just change the question:
What do you do with your anger?
Turns into:
What do you do with your energy?
Context gives meaning. You change the context, you change the meaning. The meaning behind your intention. Perhaps, even, the meaning behind your life.
By all means, be mad. Feel it in your bones. Respect the volcanic uprising happening within your soul. You are feeling it for a reason, even if you donβt yet know why.
But direct the firehose towards something that will evolve a situation, a relationship, or even you.
Otherwise, it is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
So, what can you do with this energy? π₯
