Hi {{ first name | reader }},

Ever feel like you’re put in situations to see what you’re made of?

I think you are, but not for reasons you may think.

I talk about it in 2019’s Bring Your Worth (book, audiobook & YouTube audiobook):

Archilochus said in moments of trouble, we don’t rise to the level of our expectations, but we fall to the level of our training.

Picture scaffolding, but instead of from the inside out, picture it going from the outside in. It is our bones, our literal integrity, which difficult times test and fortify.

Without challenging ourselves, we do not know if the values we created are really what we believe.

The universe, which really means you, since you are one with the world, does not create struggle to punish you, but to reconfirm what you actually believe.

The confidence to know what you believe isn’t complete until you are given ample opportunity to disregard it. 🚮

4x your communication output. Same quality. No burnout.

The bottleneck isn't what you want to say — it's how long it takes to type it. Wispr Flow removes the bottleneck.

Speak naturally and get polished, send-ready text for executive summaries, client updates, board recaps, investor notes, or just the 30 Slack messages you're behind on. Flow strips filler, formats numbers and lists, and preserves your tone.

Used by teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Works in every app on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

For decades, I thought the universe was trying to test us.

Now I feel like it gives us opportunities to see our values.

Unless we’re talking some seriously malicious stuff

Most doors we have available will not destroy our path

But they will determine our fate.

Not in an abstract sense

But in our life tomorrow.

So perhaps the pressure we feel to make the “right” decisions

Isn’t from some external pressure or outside influence

Rather, us knowing on some level

When our decisions are in sync

With the values we promised

Ourselves 🪞

It seems easier to get big financial backing, but others may never see your vision

When you sit waiting for approval:

✍🏾 You are going to give up more ownership and control of your work
