When I was much younger

My friends and I would laugh at the term “Don’t block the box”.

A simple British saying to not stop in the middle of a cross section.

Just obey the stop lights and don’t prevent the traffic flow.

It just sounded strange!

But now I think about how we prevent movement

Rushing to get past the light that we damn well know turned red

And then end up stuck in the middle of the cross section

Preventing everything else from moving 🛑
